SASAI IRONSTONE dessert plate φ18cm

This dessert plate has a simple yet elegant impression, with a slight decorative edge. It is about 18cm in diameter and not deep.

While Nikko Pottery is famous for its IRONSTONE design, this piece is from Sasai Seito. It was likely manufactured in the 1950s or 1960s. While there is crazing on the surface, the crazing is unstained and there are few visible scratches, suggesting that it was rarely used or even unused. Please note that there are some kiln marks from the manufacturing process, such as areas where the glaze has accumulated.

Although it is hard ceramic, it is not as durable as porcelain, but I think the light and fragile texture of the material is also attractive .

Points to note
Because it is water-absorbent, avoid soaking it in water for a long time, and make sure to dry it thoroughly after washing before storing it. Also, do not use it in a microwave oven.
