This is a Tepco mug without a handle. It has a shape similar to a Japanese teacup, but it is likely a mug delivered to the US Navy.
The reason it doesn't have a handle is because, like the Navy Watch Mug (Watchman's Mug), they didn't attach any parts that would break if they were hit. However, it is smaller, lighter, and easier to handle than the Navy Watch Mug.
It was probably manufactured in the 1950s or 1960s, but is in fairly good condition with no damage that would impede its use, although there are small scratches and granular stains on the sides.
Its capacity is 320ml when filled to the brim, which is much larger than a typical heavy mug. It's perfect for coffee, soup, dessert, or even vegetable sticks. Military enthusiasts and those looking for a unique ceramic mug should definitely consider this one.
