This stoneware mug features iron glaze lines. Made in Japan in the 1980s, it holds about 230ml when filled to the brim. The color is not pure white, but a subtly dull, grayish off-white.
There are some unevenness in the glaze and some small scratches from manufacturing, but no noticeable damage.
Compared to thick diner mugs, it has a larger capacity for its size, and is light and easy to handle, making it recommended for women and children.
Regarding handling of stoneware
STONEWARE is durable, non-absorbent, and microwave safe. The stamp on the bottom says "OVEN TO TABLE DISHWASHER SAFE," so it can be used in the dishwasher.
