This is a round mug from Shenango. Shenango is a long-established American manufacturer that has been producing tableware for hotels and diners since the early 1900s. It has a reputation for high quality and has even been contracted to manufacture for other companies.
The color is almost pure white. The condition is very good, with no noticeable damage except for a few small scratches. However, if there is a chip on the bottom, we will give you a 300 yen discount.
The back stamp is a rare type that is not listed in the materials I have, but based on similar stamps, I suspect it is quite old, dating back to around the 1920s.
The handle is small, and the capacity is about 210ml when filled to the brim. Although it is small, it is thick like a regular heavy mug, so it feels comfortable on your fingers.
Simple and basic, it's a great choice for coffee, cocoa, and soups.
