NIKKO Mingtree Cup and Saucer

This is a cup and saucer from the Mingtree series by NIKKO (Japanese Hard Pottery). Mingtree is a popular series that was produced from 1957 until quite recently, but this item is believed to date to the 1970s.

This is an unused item that has been stored in its box, so there is no visible damage from use, but there is some crazing from having been washed once. The capacity is 160ml when it is completely filled, and about 120-130ml when it is 80-90% full.

Ironstone (hard pottery) is a type of tableware that you can enjoy as it develops, admiring its appearance with stains and crazing, so we hope you will take good care of it and enjoy watching its character improve little by little.

Precautions <br data-mce-fragment="1">Because it is water-absorbent, avoid soaking it in water for a long time, and make sure to dry it thoroughly after washing before storing it. Also, do not use it in a microwave oven.
