Miao ethnic blanket with woven characters

We will introduce some very interesting woven fabrics with patterns from the Miao people, who live in a wide area from southern China to Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar.

If you stand a little distance, you might not notice it right away, but this fabric actually has Chinese characters woven into it. Miao fabrics often have floral motifs, but fabrics with Chinese character motifs are extremely rare.

By the way, the local dealer had three pieces of cloth with Chinese characters woven into them, and I purchased the one with the finest weave and the most neat design.

This fabric was originally made as a futon or blanket, and comes with a plain piece of fabric surrounding the woven fabric. The plain piece has small fraying and repairs, and there is no lining, but there is no major damage to the woven part. The fabric and woven thread are all made of cotton.

The motifs and woven patterns are so beautiful that just looking at them is enough to give you a sense of satisfaction, but they would also look great as sofa covers or hung on the wall or ceiling for display.
