This Hasami ware mug was made for export at the end of the Edo period. It is said to be the oldest mug in Japan, and is the same size and shape as the Compliance Bottle, which was also produced for export at the time.
I have heard that this is an unused item that was not exported, but it appears that the handle was attached later for some reason.
There is no visible damage due to use, but please note that there are traces of glaze running, partial peeling, and granular particles on the inside bottom.
size
Diameter: 8.2cm, Height: 7.9cm, Capacity: 250ml
Delivery
60 size
Precautions
We exclude items that are difficult to use or have major damage such as chips or cracks in the opening, but please be aware that these are old items that have actually been used and therefore may not be brand new or perfect items without any defects.
