This is a wooden tray that was used to hold typeset plates at a letterpress printing shop. It is called a support plate or galley tray, but since typeset plates can be quite heavy, it is made to be quite sturdy.
Although it has been cleaned, ink marks, black spots, loose or cracked wood, tape marks, and handwritten writing remain.
Each piece has a different color and texture, but you can choose the shade of the color (light, medium, dark) and whether or not to have grooves on the sides.
The interior dimensions are large enough to comfortably fit two B5 sheets. You can use it as a display board by leaning it against a desk or shelf, or stack several of them to create a file tray. Shop owners can also use it as a signboard.
Size <br data-mce-fragment="1">External dimensions: width 30-31.5cm, depth 45-48cm, height 4.2-4.5cm
Internal dimensions: Width 27.5-29cm, depth 42.5-44cm, height approximately 3cm
