USMC Wooden Trunk

This large wooden trunk was used by the USMC (United States Marine Corps). It is quite old, manufactured in 1968, and has military specifications written on the back of the lid.

The wood is 2cm thick, with an additional 1cm thick board attached to the inside of the left and right sides, making it sturdier than a regular military trunk. It is thought that it originally had a padlock, but the lock no longer remains.

There is no noticeable odor and there is little rust on the metal fittings, but please note that there are scratches, scrapes, label marks, some missing fasteners, and dirt that cannot be completely removed.

It can be used as a storage unit, table, or stand. You can also use it as a cafe table by placing a glass panel on top. It also looks cool when used as storage in the trunk of a large car. The last photo shows an LP record inside, but the lid won't close if it's placed upright.
