Japanese military trunks

This trunk is believed to be from the 1940s and was used for Japanese military clothing. These types of trunks are well-made, and many were used in homes to store clothing even after the war. This particular trunk is one of those, and although it shows signs of years of use, such as some rust on the metal fittings, scuff marks on the bottom, and stains on the lining, it is in excellent condition for a trunk of this type.

The material is a specially treated hard fiber similar to a box, with thick reinforced edges. The corners and fasteners are made of metal.

The tabletop has a flat surface, so it can be used as a cafe table and storage space, or you can even add a glass tabletop to it.
