This wooden trunk from the 1950s was used by the US military. It has handwritten lettering on the lid, making it a truly unique piece.
The construction is very simple. Originally, there were wooden bars on both sides, but these have been removed. Because it is a wooden box that has actually been used, it has scratches, scrapes, rust on the metal fittings, and one of the hinges securing the lid is broken, but unless it is used for carrying around frequently, this should not be a big problem.
The capacity is ample. The second-to-last photo shows two LP records lined up. When the LPs are placed upright, the tops of the records stick out about 1cm.
