Sone Pottery Rimmed Plate φ25cm

This is a rimmed plate from Sone Seitosho, which was in business from the end of the Edo period until 1989. While the company is less well known due to its proximity to the larger companies, it is a manufacturer with a reputation for high quality. Since most of their products are patterned, plain rimmed plates are extremely rare.

The bowl is made of thick porcelain, reminiscent of American dinerware. There are kiln marks from the manufacturing process, such as uneven glaze, small holes, and small stains. There is also some minor scratches and darkening on the base, but the condition is not severe.

It is 25cm in size, so it can be used for a wide range of purposes, from main plates to side dishes and serving side dishes.
