Tortoiseshell design namasu (deep dish)

This dish has a bluish finish, and is likely decorated with a peony and arabesque pattern in the center and a tortoiseshell pattern on the rim. It dates back to the late Edo period. There are some areas that are unglazed and have no signs of heavy use.

With a diameter of about 14cm, this deep plate is very versatile and can be used to serve side dishes or salads, as a serving plate for hot pot dishes, or for desserts.
