Large mortar

This set includes an extra-large mortar with a diameter of 26cm and a pestle that is 35cm long. It's the first time I've seen a mortar this large, and a pestle with a wooden handle is also unusual.

The manufacturer is Nikkato, which has been producing ceramics for scientific use for over 100 years. The pestle has a flathead screw, so it likely dates back to the 1960s. Both the mortar and pestle have scratches and stains, but no cracks or chips.
