Celluloid lantern

This lantern appears to have been used at a hot spring inn in Kusatsu Onsen. It consists of a bent celluloid plate fitted into an iron frame, but the celluloid is slightly dirty and the iron is rusted, giving it quite a worn-out appearance. It dates back to the Taisho to early Showa period.

We cleaned it just enough to preserve the original atmosphere. You can enjoy this style, or you can try making it sparkle again.

Please note that there may be bent iron parts, missing rivets, slight dirt, rust, and wrinkled celluloid.
