Wooden carved ptarmigan

This is a wooden carving of a ptarmigan from Tateyama, one of the few habitats of the ptarmigan. The base is made by roughly carving the tree, leaving the bark intact, and the ptarmigan is fixed onto it. If you look closely, you will see that the eyes are made of glass beads.

Although the wood has discolored, there is no noticeable damage. It may be a souvenir, but it doesn't look unsophisticated and has a nice atmosphere.
