This is a wooden gear that was used in an old reeling machine (a tool for reeling thread from cocoons). Because it is an actual tool that was used, there are stains, scratches, pen marks, etc., but it does not look dirty. You can use it to display or place a watch or jewelry on, or even as a trivet.
