Base metal

This is a tool called a daigane (base metal) used in shoemaking and repair. The base is a stylish piece of lumber with a chamfered top. The entire thing weighs just over 2kg, making it quite light.

There is some damage, such as rust on the iron parts and scratches, stains, and cracks on the base, but the rust has been polished to some extent. The metal parts can come off the base, so depending on how you use it, you may want to hit them with a hammer or something to secure them in place. The item will be packaged separately for shipping.

It can be used as a hat stand, a display stand for accessories, or even as a door stopper if it's not too heavy. Of course, it's also pleasing to the eye just to leave it as is.
