This round stool was once used by dentists. It is made in Japan. It is very simple, does not swivel, and has no height adjustment.
The seat is made of a wooden base with straw and synthetic leather. It is not cushioned, but it is soft enough. The support and legs are made of iron. When the bottom was turned upside down, it was covered in red rust, so the rust was removed and it was finished with oil.
Most doctor's chairs have casters, but it seems that there used to be a type without casters. I don't know the exact year, but I think it was around the beginning of the Showa era. I think it would be convenient for people whose jobs require repeated standing and sitting .
The cut on the seat has been repaired simply. Please note that there may be other scratches, peeling paint, and rust marks.
