1944 USArmy Field Desk (Trunk)

This is a field desk used by the US military during World War II. It originally had internal dividers and drawers, but these have all been removed and are now a storage box.

It has been used with the side door with the US lettering open, but you can also use it with this side facing up. The size is just right for LP records.

The bag is made of wood, with the corners and edges reinforced with iron plates. The handle is made of leather. There are some scratches, stains, rust on the metal fittings, and a slightly old smell, but considering its age, I'd say it's in good condition. Since the key is gone, the sixth clasp is slightly raised. It's built to be sturdy, so I hope you'll use it for storage or as a cafe table.
