Skein machine object

The skein machine is a tool used in conjunction with the ball winding machine to wind a bundle of thread into a ball. It is made of metal with 3mm wire, and I've heard it's made in America. There is a fair amount of rust all over, but I didn't polish off the rust, just removed the surface dirt.

Wooden skewer machines are quite common among antiques, but this product's thinner lines make its beauty of form stand out more than wooden products.

Spread the umbrella as far as you like and secure it with the fasteners at the bottom. The base was damaged, so we used an asymmetrical diamond-shaped metal block. The support pole is fixed, so please be careful not to pull it too hard.
