Toei Electric No. 6 Magnetic Electric Bell

This is the bell part (electric bell) from the days when telephone receivers and bells were separate. It is a Toei Electric No. 6 magnetic bell, which was used in the 1950s and 1960s, and this item appears to have been made in 1965.

Wooden boxes for electric bells like this are usually left in the natural color of the wood, but for some reason this one is painted light blue. Perhaps it was an electric bell other than a telephone. I couldn't find anything to back up my search, but I think this is something that will be a joyous occasion for those who purchase it.

There are some peeling paint and stains, but no serious damage. You can display it as is, or remove the contents and use it as a wooden box. There are screw holes so you can mount it on the wall.
