This bus ticket issuing machine is believed to be from around the 1940s. It was made by Ticket Issue Machines in the UK. The ticket roll is gone, but it does come with a leather strap.
Turn the dial, push the lever on the side a little, then turn the handle. The stamp inside rotates in tandem, and the dial returns to its original position. This is probably how it works when issuing tickets, but it's unclear whether it's actually practical. Still, the look and feel of the material alone are sure to be entertaining.
There are scratches, dullness, darkening, and some rust spots. The leather was a little hardened, so we applied oil. It has softened a little, but please note that some darkening will remain.
