This figurine depicts a couple embracing each other and holding a bouquet. It was made by Wolf Original in Canada around the 1970s. At first glance, it looks like resin, but it's actually made from hand-carved and polished soapstone.
The color is not jet black, but more like ink. The patterns on the hair and clothes are carved very carefully, and looking at them makes you feel warm and fuzzy, but when you imagine the harsh living conditions they must have had, the image of them holding flowers and snuggling up to one another also makes you feel melancholy.
There is no noticeable damage, but please note that the label on the bottom is slightly discolored .
