This is a handleless mug used by the US Navy. Durability is required for use on a rocking ship, so it is made quite thick. Furthermore, handles tend to break if they are hit, so this is a special mug that does not have handles in the first place.
These types of mugs were known as "Navy Watch Mugs" or "Watchman's Mugs" because they were very useful for sailors to warm their hands while on watch on board the ship, but because they were never produced for the general public, very few remain and they are rare.
Corning's milk glass mugs were the most widely produced Navy watch mugs, so they are fairly well known, but porcelain mugs were also supplied by various manufacturers, including Tepco, Shenango, Sterling, Victor, Jackson, and Walker.
This is a slightly smaller navy watch mug, but it still has a capacity of about 330ml, so it's recommended for those looking for a heavy mug that can hold a lot.
The condition is good, with some minor scratches and some grain on the inside bottom from manufacturing, but no significant damage. The stamp on the bottom is from a period between 1931 and 1968, but this one was probably made in the 1940s or 1950s.
It can be used not only as a coffee mug, but also as a soup or dessert cup, or to hold vegetable sticks. It can be used in a variety of ways, depending on your imagination. We hope that military fans and those looking for a unique ceramic mug will consider this mug.
Size : Outer diameter of opening: 9.3cm, height: 8.7cm, weight: 514g, capacity: 330ml

Notes: <br>We have excluded items that are difficult to use or have major damage such as chips or cracks in the opening, but please be aware that these are old items that have actually been used and therefore are not new or perfect items without any defects.
