This is a simple bowl with a thick, plump design. These bowls are often called cereal bowls in the US, but they can be used for cereal, desserts, soups, and because they are simple, they can also be used as serving plates for hot pots.

Tepco (Technical Porcelain China Ware Co.) was founded in 1918. Initially, the company manufactured insulators and other industrial porcelain products, but in the 1930s switched to producing tableware, and until 1968 produced tableware for hotels, diners, and the military.

It appears to have been made in the 1950s, and although there are kiln marks from the manufacturing process and some small scratches and light stains from use, there is no significant damage. However, if there are chips or scrapes on the bottom, they will be priced at a discount.

It is thick, heavy, and very durable, but please be careful not to hit it with thin bowls or other items when washing dishes.
