Tanba ware candle sake bottle

This traditional Tanba ware sake bottle was originally made to imitate the shape of a Japanese candle. It doesn't seem to be that old, but the combination of white on a black base is unusual.

There are some kiln marks from the manufacturing process, such as some areas where the glaze is not applied to the bottom, but there is no visible damage from use. You can display it as is, or use it as a vase for a single flower.
