This brass ashtray is believed to have been made to commemorate the 5 billionth Talon Zipper produced. It features a pull handle in the center, and the words "Five Billionth Talon Zipper - November 1957" are engraved around the perimeter.
There are small scratches, tarnish, and a little verdigris, but it doesn't look dirty, and those who are used to old things can enjoy it as a charm. It can be used as an ashtray, as well as a tray for keys, accessories, stationery, parts, potpourri, and more.
