STANLEY Drafting Desk

This is a drafting desk (desk for drawing) made in the UK. Older drafting desks have thick legs and are made of bulky iron, but this one has lightweight folding iron legs. When folded, it is only about 23cm thick.

There is a metal plate attached to one side. I don't know the manufacturer, Stanley, or the year.

The tabletop has scratches, stains, and slight warping, and the legs have scratches and rust, but I brushed the rusted areas and then finished them with beeswax. The rust will remain, but I think it adds to the charm of the piece.

To adjust the angle, loosen the fasteners on the underside of the tabletop, but if you turn only one side, the other side will also turn, so be sure to hold it down with both hands while turning.

The minimum height when the tabletop is level is approximately 96 cm. This is not a desk for placing objects on, so please be careful not to place heavy objects on it or lean on it.
