Bizen mortar

This mortar is probably from Bizen or Tokoname during the Showa period. There is some damage such as chipped edges and blackening on the bottom, but the inside is in good condition.

Although it is clean, it is an old item, so you may be hesitant to use it as a mortar and pestle, but you could also enjoy it as a container or receptacle, such as a cover for an aquarium or flower pot, or to store vegetables and fruit in.
