This is a Seikosha electric watch that was found unused and still in its box. It is a watch powered by electricity rather than a mainspring, and Seikosha has been manufacturing and selling such electric watches since the 1930s (early Showa period).

At the time, there were no modern-day electrical outlets in every home, so electricity was supplied from a two-pronged socket invented by Konosuke Matsushita, which was plugged into the light bulb.

The main body is a long, rectangular wooden clock, 28.5 cm wide, with a dial diameter of about 15.5 cm. Judging from the dial and serial number, this is thought to be the oldest model among Seikosha's electric clocks.

Although this is an unused item, there is some rust around the dial, some tarnish and small scratches on the wooden case, and the outer box and packaging materials are dusty and damaged.

When I checked it by connecting it to electricity from a light bulb, it didn't work, but as it is a dead stock old electric clock, it is still valuable as a documentary piece and as part of a collection.

Size: Dial diameter approx. 15.5cm, width approx. 28.5cm, depth approx. 6.2cm, height approx. 20.8cm, weight approx. 1248g
