This is a Seikosha electric watch that was found unused and still in its box. It is a watch powered by electricity rather than a mainspring, and Seikosha has been manufacturing and selling such electric watches since the 1930s (early Showa period).
At the time, there were no modern-day electrical outlets in every home, so electricity was supplied from a two-pronged socket invented by Konosuke Matsushita, which was plugged into the light bulb.
This is the oldest model of Seikosha electric clock, and its sides are probably made of brass. It is small, with a dial diameter of 15cm and a back diameter of about 18.4cm.
Although this watch is unused, there is a slight cloudiness on the glass that cannot be removed, and there is rust around the dial and the glass frame. Please note that the outer box and packaging materials are dusty and damaged.
When I checked it by connecting it to electricity from a light bulb, it didn't work, but as it is a dead stock early electric clock, it is still valuable as a documentary piece and as part of a collection.
Size : Dial diameter approx. 15.5cm, back diameter approx. 19.7cm, depth approx. 6cm, weight approx. 781g
