Saura Keiki Boxed Compass

This is a pre-war marine compass made by Saura Keiki Seisakusho, a specialized manufacturer of marine instruments founded in 1916.

The compass fluid has leaked out and there is a fair amount of verdigris from the sides to the bottom of the body, but it is still functional and points in the correct direction (however, please avoid using it on a boat, etc.).

The inside of the glass is cloudy and the wooden case is slightly dirty, but it's fun just to look at the rust, cloudiness, and finely engraved markings through a magnifying glass.
