We have received a very rare Samco cap in unused condition. This type of lid has the great advantage of being safe for storing food, as the contents of the jar do not come into contact with the metal.

Samco (Samuel Mallinger Co.) was a manufacturer of mason jars and caps from the 1930s to the 1950s. Zinc caps, which were common at the time and had milk glass fitted inside, had drawbacks such as the tendency for white rust to form and the inability to wash the back of the milk glass. However, Samco's caps are designed to overcome these drawbacks.

Although it is unused, there are scratches, discoloration, and slight rust that occurred during storage, so we will polish it as much as possible before giving it to you. Of course, this will not affect its use. A rubber gasket is also included, so you can use it with peace of mind in terms of airtightness (please note that there is rubber residue attached).

The size is regular mouth and can be used in regular mouth size mason jars regardless of manufacturer or year (please inquire directly if you have any concerns).
