This lamp was used in an American factory. I imagine it was mounted on a wall in a large space and used as a spotlight. The glass is embossed with "S&M "RED CAP" FLOOD LITE" and "MADE IN USA S&M LAMP CO. LOS ANGELES."
The angle of the shade can be adjusted and it can move about 180 degrees. Because it weighs nearly 4.5 kg, if you want to mount it on a wall, you need a sturdy base, but it would also look interesting if you placed it on the floor in the corner of a room or at the entrance.
The body and base are made of black painted iron. The paint was peeling in places and there was rust, so after cleaning, it was treated with rust prevention and polishing. There are small scratches on the glass crystal, but no chips.
To replace the bulb, remove the flathead screw in the frame that holds the windshield and remove the glass. The bulb used is a standard E-26. The cord has been replaced with a new one. If you use it while standing, it may be a little wobbly, so we recommend securing it with a screw or clamp.
