The BD-1 is a folding mini-bike with a revolutionary mechanism invented by Germans Marcus Ries and Heiko Muller. It is now known as Birdy, but this product is the BD-1Z, an original Japanese model that began production in 1999. The frame is the original straight design of the original, and the suspension is set to a hard setting.
The components are Shimano 8-speed external gears. The seat and handlebars have been replaced, making it easier to operate the handlebars compared to the stock ones, and significantly reducing the strain on your buttocks. It also comes with a rear carrier with wheels, making it easy to carry when folded.
The bike also comes with a front bag (Montbell), saddlebags, bottle cage, rearview mirror, puncture repair kit, hex wrench, air pump, spare tire, and speedometer (with dead battery), so all you need to do is bring a lock and you're ready to ride.
The folding mechanism is excellent, requires no tools, and takes less than a minute once you get used to it. If you Google it, you'll find lots of videos on how to fold it, so try practicing while watching them .
Considering its age, the condition is good, with some scratches, tarnish, a cut on the seat, and a cracked valve cap on the front tire, but it doesn't look like it's been driven for many years.
