This pencil is made by Nippon Stationery Manufacturing (Plato Stationery). Nippon Stationery Manufacturing is a long-established manufacturer that operated from 1919 to 1954. The exact year of manufacture of this pencil is unknown, but a more recent estimate would place it in 1954, making it a very old pencil.
The pencils are HB hardness (darkness) and hexagonal in shape. Their thickness and length are roughly the same as modern pencils. However, the eraser is hardened and cannot be used. Although they are unused, please note that they have some damage from storage, such as scratches, peeling paint, tarnish, and darkening of the metal fittings (they have been cleaned).
