Toulouse-Lautrec Photo Collection

Issued in 1982 to commemorate the visit of works from the Albi-Lautrec Museum to Japan.

You may have seen Toulouse-Lautrec's paintings somewhere, but many people may not know what era he lived in or what kind of person he was.

Toulouse-Lautrec was born into a distinguished family and died at the young age of 36. Photographs of Toulouse-Lautrec himself, the people he was connected to, and the places he was associated with, along with commentary, give a good insight into his personality. The black-and-white photographs from the late 19th century are excellent, and although the book is short, I was overcome with emotion when I reached the last page.

There are some scratches and bent pages, but no writing or serious stains .
