The French manufacturer Peugeot's "GI" coffee mill was manufactured for only three years, from 1950 to 1952. Its compact size, ease of maintenance, and ease of grinding make it a truly exceptional hand mill.
When it arrived, there was some rust on the blade and cup, but it was disassembled and the rust was polished off. The outer paint has peeled off and some rust can be seen, but this has been polished off with a special abrasive to avoid peeling off the paint. Currently, the rust color remains, but it is not falling off.
Although the paint on the lid has peeled off considerably, the paint on the cup side remains in good condition, and the Peugeot logo is still mostly intact. The interior has also been maintained with the intention of using it myself, so if you are looking for a practical coffee mill, this is the one for you.
You can adjust the grind (fine or coarse) by moving the star-shaped washer at the bottom of the handle up or down.
