PETERS CARTRIDGE wooden box

This wooden box was made by the Peters Cartridge Company, which manufactured gunpowder and ammunition. It has embossed lettering on the entire surface, but there is very little paint left, so it's not very noticeable. It's just the right size to fit an LP record, and it has a carved handle, making it very easy to use.

Peters Cartridge closed in 1944, so the most recent estimate for the wooden box is from the 1940s. There are scratches, cracks, chips, and discoloration, so please handle it with care.

By the way, the Peters Cartridge building, built in 1916, is currently used as a brewery and apartment complex.
