Pelikan ink can

This is a Pelikan can, well known for its fountain pens. I imagine it was used to store cartridges, but there is hardened ink on the underside of the lid. There are scratches and scuffs, but it opens and closes smoothly without any snags. It can be used to store clips and other items.
