This is a perpetual calendar from Park Sherman, a manufacturer of desk accessories and smoking-related items from the 1930s to the 1960s.
The body looks like brass, but it's actually gold-painted steel. There are small scratches, rust, and tarnish on the surface, so it's not suitable for those looking for something in perfect condition, but I think it would blend in well with an interior filled with old items.
The date and other information can be changed by turning the knobs on the left and right. If you turn them in their original position, the date in the center will rotate, and if you pull them out, the day of the week and month will rotate.
