E. PAILLARD Hermes Baby Typewriter with Replaced Ink Ribbon

This is a Swiss-made typewriter known as the Hermes brand. The Hermes series was produced from the 1920s to the 1950s, but this is an older model from the 1930s. As the name "Hermes Baby" suggests, it is compact in size and comes in a dark gray color.

We cleaned as much of the interior and exterior as possible, and used an air compressor to remove dust and dirt from hard-to-reach areas inside. However, please note that some black spots, dust, stains, and old odors remain.

You can use regular copy paper. You can also print on bags and cards by putting them in a roller, so you can use it to make original cards and tags.

The ink ribbon has been replaced with a new one, but it is still available from specialty stores, so you can use it for a long time with peace of mind.

Turn the knob next to the roller to advance the paper to the position where you want to type the first character.
Adjust the left and right margins with the left and right sliders on the scale at the back▼
Move the lever on the left of the roller to the right.

Regarding line breaks <br data-mce-fragment="1">Normally, typewriters automatically insert line breaks by moving the turn lever on the left side of the roller to the right, but with this product, you insert line breaks by turning the knob next to the roller (it is unclear whether this is a feature or a malfunction).
