OLYMPIA De Luxe SM3 typewriter ink ribbon replaced

It is said that in the 1960s, one in every two German typewriters was made at the Olympia factory in Wilhelmshaven, and by the 1970s, it had grown to become one of the world's three leading typewriters. The SM3, developed in the 1950s, was just when Olympia was starting to sell well. The SM series was developed to compete with Paillard's Hermes, and was an expensive model that was advertised as the highest quality at the time.

The keyboard body is made of a slightly greenish-gray metal, and the keys are moss green. It's not particularly flashy, but the feel and sound of the keys are comfortable and unmatched by other companies, and you can tell it's well-made.

The ink ribbon was replaced with a new one. I used the spool that came with the printer, but the left and right spools have different designs.

The body shows some tarnish and minor scratches, but it shows very little wear and is in excellent condition. The case has scratches, stains, and scuffs, and there is some rust on the metal fittings inside, but there is no noticeable odor, and it is in very good condition considering its age .

How to use <br>Insert the paper from the back of the roller▼
Turn the knob next to the roller to advance the paper to the position where you want to type the first character.
Adjust the left and right margins with the left and right sliders on the scale at the back▼
Move the lever on the left of the roller to the right.
Start typing

Line break <br>Move the lever on the left of the roller to the right to automatically break the line and set it to the leftmost position of the next line.

Line spacing adjustment : From the back, normal, 0.5 line spacing, 1 line spacing

Changing the ink color <br>You can change the ink color using the lever on the right side of the keyboard. If you set it to white, you can type without inserting a ribbon.
