U-shaped vacuum gauge

I thought it was a type of thermometer, but it turns out it's a vacuum gauge, a pressure gauge that measures pressures lower than atmospheric pressure.

Although the same type of watch is still being manufactured today, this watch is believed to date from before the 1950s, due to the engraved number font and the use of flathead screws.

There are stains on the wood and cloudiness in the glass, so it is probably not practical to use, but it is still an enjoyable piece as an object. The plate with the scale engraved in the center can be removed.
