OLD DAHON III Folding Bicycle

This 1986 Dahon III is known as the "old Dahon." It's a handy folding bike that's quite compact when folded. The Sturmey Archer gearbox has three internal speeds. The rear wheel hub is engraved with "MADE IN ENGLAND 86-8."

There should have been a small tire attached under the crank that functions when folding, but it has been removed. There is also rust, dullness, and cracks in the tire, and there is a spot that pushes up against the rear wheel when riding. While the bike is still drivable, we recommend replacing the tire.

After cleaning, the rusted areas have been polished to some extent, so there is no rust that falls off, but I think it can be removed a little more with a wire brush. When shipping, the car will be folded and the seat will be removed .
