OKUSUN Sewing Machine Arm Lamp

This Japanese-made desk lamp bears the "OKUSUN (Okuno Electric Industry)" mark. It was manufactured for sewing factories in the 1950s and 1960s, and is clearly modeled after a French Singer lamp (it's identical except for the switch). While it doesn't have any particular decoration, it's extremely easy to use and stands out for its functional beauty.

The shade is slightly glossy, probably made of plastic. There is some rust on the arms and joints, but there are no visible scratches from use, and the cord is not particularly hardened.

The base is fixed with screws and has three 5mm screw holes. It can be fixed to a desk or a wall (it was fixed to the base with a C-clamp for the photo). It has an ON/OFF switch. The bulb is a B-15. The light blue cover inside the shade can be removed by using pliers to remove the wire that secures it.
