This is a piece of sand art by the Navajo people of America, created as an artwork. The Navajo people have a priest draw pictures in the sand on the ground during sacred ceremonies, but even to create such works, permission from the priest is required.
The motifs depicted are important to the Navajo people: a sun and coyote in the upper right, an eagle in the lower right, and a spirit called Yay on the left.
There are scratches on the frame, tears in the paper on the back, and stains inside the piece, but I imagine they are probably from glue. The size is reasonable, so I hope you will display it wherever you like.
