The machine was manufactured by a sewing machine manufacturer and has a plate that reads "MINAMI SEWING MACHINE INDUSTORY CO." We imagine it was used for processing leather, but its specific purpose is unknown.
There is a cord outlet, but the cord is no longer there. When you push down the lever on top, the gear at the handle lifts up, and when you turn the handle, the gear rotates in tandem. I hope that it will be useful not as a practical item, but as a display piece to help create a space.
