This is a representative mug from McCoy Pottery, which has many collectors around the world. It is also known as the "D-handle mug" because the handle resembles the letter "D."
The color is a reddish brown, and it features a pattern called "Brown Drip Glaze" that occurs when the glaze drips onto the edge. The pottery is made of ceramic, and much of the manufacturing is done by hand, so there may be distortions in the shape, small pieces stuck together, or areas that are not glazed, but these traces of handwork are also part of McCoy's charm.
There are two types of markings on the bottom: the faint marking dates from the 1960s, and the clear marking dates from the 1970s and includes the LCC mark. Both are in good condition, with some minor scratches and tarnish, but no noticeable damage.
The shape is tapered at the bottom and has a moderate thickness. The capacity of the 1960s model is 300ml, while the 1970s model is about 240ml, with the 1970s model being heavier.
Size : Outer diameter of mouth approx. 9cm, height approx. 8.4cm, weight 260-330g, capacity 240-300ml
Delivery
60 size
Please note : The glaze pattern is different for each piece. We have excluded items that are difficult to use or have major damage such as chips or cracks in the opening, but please be aware that these are old items that have actually been used and therefore are not brand new or perfect items without any defects.
